Your role & work environment
Within the retail insurances department, we are making a bold move. We are about to build an MGA setup to provide our customers with fiercely competitive products and seamless CX. A bold move that will re-define retail insurances within ING. The first steps already have been taken, but we are on the look-out for someone that can help us take the next steps to implement the MGA setup and scale up. We have huge ambitions and an amazing drive within the team to accelerate growth and put our insurance products in the spotlight for our banking customers. We are looking for someone that already has a great background in MGA operations (underwriting and claims management) for non-life P&C insurances, especially leading operational teams.
Your key responsibilities
- Functionally leading the MGA operations part of insurances, meaning;
- (external) Stakeholder management
- Determining targets
- Initiating and leading performance meetings with our partners
- Detecting and implementation of improvements
- Working together with colleagues having different expertise in self-steering teams.
- Be the insurance domain expert in the team, gaining and sharing knowledge of the insurance industry with the team. Ensuring seamless customer journeys that ensure the best possible online experience for our customers.
- Implementing the strategy taking ING’s priorities and customer’s expectations into consideration.
- Managing the collaboration between the different stakeholders, 3rd party relationships and colleagues in other teams with the aim to create even more added value to our customers.

Furthermore, you have:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Economics or Law, or an MBA
- Additional qualification in WFT Basis Schade particulier is preferred
- Working in the P&C (non-life) insurance industry for +5 years, preferably within insurance MGAs, and therefore strong knowledge in insurance underwriting and claims management
- Proficiency in underwriting and claims management systemsUnderstanding of regulations and legislations in relation to insurance
- Good analytical skills
- Proven planning & organizational skills
- Hands-on and pro-active mentality in order to structure elements resulting in a great product offer.
- Affinity with both risk and compliance related topics as well as IT related topics
- Fluent in Dutch and English
