Senior JavaScript (backend) AWS-Cloud developer
We are looking for a senior JavaScript developer for the Engineering Ecosystems team.
The team supports the NN Engineering Enablement department with a set of tools like: Maker Portal and Skill Tree.
As a JavaScript (backend) developer, you will be responsible for the development, the deployment using AWS Serverless components and the integration with other AWS services like DynamoDB, S3 etc. We deploy our components through Azure Devops automation and AWS CDK. We also develop the frontends, but for this vacancy, the focus is more on backend development with NodeJS and TypeScript, AWS integration and automation.
What are you going to do?
- Develop and maintain our JavaScript (backend) applications
- Develop and maintain AWS serverless components and automation
- Ensure that the application components we deliver, are resilient and up to NN security standards and that the security documentation is up to date
- Work with the team, the product owner and our UX designer to build and deliver new functionalities to our customers
What you will bring
- You are proficient in developing production grade NodeJS/TypeScript/JavaScript (backend) applications
- You are proficient in developing serverless applications using AWS serverless technology (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB)
- You are proficient in deploying applications to AWS cloud using CDK / Azure Devops
- You have hands on experience with AWS Security best practices like KMS encryption etc
- You are a team player and provide feedback to colleagues, participate in innovative discussions, investigate new technologies (like ai). You are also comfortable presenting in front of a crowd of colleagues

The Engineering Ecosystems team within Enterprise Application Services is a diverse group of colleagues who are all passionate about coding, engineering and building great products for our customers. We mainly speak Dutch and English. We work with the various Cloud teams at EIS, the NN Design System guild and our customers in NN-Group. We work in an agile way, with an iterative approach and a customer focus.
